After your initial consultation with Dr. Justin you will come back to map out your customized treatment plan. You will have 3D images taken of your teeth and see how the progression of clear aligners will incrementally straighten your smile. At the end, you will get a visual preview of what your final smile will look like. Then, your information is sent off and your custom aligners are made. Once Dr. Justin receives your set of aligners you will come back to pick them up and discuss how to wear them successfully.

With Invisalign you can eat all your favorite foods without worry. Simply remove your aligners to eat and drink. No need to worry about food getting stuck in the brackets. After you eat or drink, brush your teeth and reinsert the aligner. Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours a day to maximize their effectiveness.

Invisalign Teen

Now there’s a clear solution for teens!

Invisalign offers a custom line of aligners just for teen patients. They work the same way as the adult aligners, with all the same benefits, but with one extra feature: a blue compliance indicator dot. Over time, if your teen is wearing their aligners as they should, the blue dot will fade. If they are forgetting to wear them, you’ll know.

Mouthguards? No problem!

If your teen is in sports and needs a mouthguard, the aligners can be removed for practices or games.

Q: How long will treatment take?

Treatment time varies depending on each patient. Dr. Justin will be able to discuss your exact treatment plan at your consultation.

Q: What if an aligner breaks or is lost?

If your aligner breaks or is lost, contact Dr. Justin immediately. Depending on your case, he will either suggest wearing your previous aligner, the next aligner or ordering a brand-new aligner.

Q: Do I need to brush or wash my aligners?

Yes, you can clean your aligners with a special Invisalign product, or brush with toothpaste and water. The plastic is moldable, so do not run it under hot water or boil it to sanitize.

Q: Is Invisalign painful?

Your Invisalign retainers will be applying constant pressure to your teeth as they gradually force them into a new position. It’s normal to experience mild discomfort during the first few hours of wearing your new aligner. Any discomfort will be short-lived and can be easily relieved by an over-the-counter pain medication.
